United Radar reported that Manchester United and Juventus agreed the transfer of Adrien Rabiot. The 27-year-old Frenchman is left with one year in his contract, so a switch to Old Trafford will suit Juventus.
On the other hand, Manchester United is desperate to bolster the middle after a shocking defeat to Brighton which also resembled a “reality check” for United.
Manchester United acted swiftly to enquire about the Turin based midfielder following a setback against Brighton. As initially reported by Sky Sports, the clubs reached an agreement during the course of Monday. It is now upon the player alongside his agent and mother Verinique. The parties are reportedly finalizing personal terms and Manchester United are expected to enveil Rabiot.
Adrien enjoyed much of his success in PSG winning five Ligue 1 titles in seven seasons before moving to Juventus as a free agent. During his spell in PSG, the France international scored 24 goals in 227 appearances.
The former Paris bound midfielder is set to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo after the duo won two Serie A titles within the three years they spent together.
The addition of Rabiot does not cancel Manchester United pursuit of Frankie de Jong. Erik ten Hag is reportedly a huge admirer of his compatriot and the Catalan midfielder remains the main target of Manchester United despite the ongoing saga.
