Ajax is open to let Antony join the Red Devils, United Radar understands. The Brazilian international has since been in Erik ten Hag’s radar since the start of the transfer window.
The player has reportedly stated his wishes to join his former manager at Manchester United. According to Manchester Evening News, the 22-year-old said: “[k]now I will always stand with you if you [ten Hag] need me“, when the boss left Ajax at the end of the season.
The new Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder told Netherlands source – Ziggo Sport about Antony’s future:
“We are assuming that we can keep this squad together. But I know, and everyone knows, that in football you never know.”
Manchester United has already secured the signing of Lisandro Martinez who previously played for Ajax. The club is hoping to add another Ajax player to strengthen their attack.
