Jadon Sancho is starting to find his feet after a difficult start to his career at Manchester United.
The English star was involved in a 2-0 victory against Sheriff Tiranspol. Soon after the match, Sancho was involved in a post-match interview.
Sancho told MUTV that:
“Starting the campaign with a defeat was an upsetting result, so we knew that today was a must-win,” Jadon stated.
“I am very delighted [with the goal]. Again, the most important thing was the three points and I will have to keep working hard for the team.”
Jadon praised Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese international scored his first goal in the campaign through a penalty.
“When Cristiano scores, when his confidence is up, he can score one, two, three, four,” Jadon Sancho added. “So, we are happy for him.”
The 22-year-old further scored praised Christian Eriksen who was in fine form:
“Christian has many qualities, I think we all know that. He plays week in, week out. He is very comfortable on the ball and he’s got composure to put a final pass and we’re delighted to have him.”
“That [the World Cup] is one of the targets, but it is unfortunate that I didn’t get the call-up. But I have to keep focusing on myself and keep working hard, week in and week out. So that is what I am going to do”.
