Manchester United vs Burnley fixture is set to take place next Wednesday in the Carabao Cup clash. The English giants will appear at Old Trafford for the first time since mid November.

The match is set to take place at Old Trafford on or about 21:00 (UK time). The game will be broadcasted on Sky Sports and starting line-ups will be provided an hour prior to kick-off.

3. Early team news
Lisandro Martinez and Raphaël Verane will not feature in the upcoming Carabao Cup tie by virtue of international duty. The pair will feature in the World Cup final for Argentina and France respectively.
Both players are reportedly afforded a week off. The absence of Martinez and Verane will no doubt open the door for Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.
Manchester Evening News noted that players who were knocked out off the World Cup in the quarter finals are all expected to return to training on Monday.
This includes, amongst others, Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot, Carlo Casemiro, Fred Rodriguez and Antony Santos.
Anthony Martial will return after long absence due to successive injuries. The Frenchman missed majority of the fixtures and he is set to return to Manchester United.
On the other hand, Jadon Sancho is unavailable. United Radar previously reported that Erik ten Hag sent the Englishman to Netherlands for a solo training program, in a bid to regain form and fitness.
Ten Hag said: “We want to bring him back as quickly as possible, but I can’t give a prognosis of when that will be.”
The boss added: “That is what we are doing now to try to get him back there. It is a combination of physically and mentally.”
“I’ve had several talks with Jadon and I don’t think he will be back this week, no. Sometimes there are circumstances with fitness and mood.”
“Now he’s on a physical programme and our aim is to get him back as quickly as possible. But I can’t give a prognosis of when that will be.”
Explaining Sancho’s absence from the Spanish trip, Ten Hag further stated: “He wasn’t fit enough to be there. It’s a combination of physically and mentally.”
Manchester United official website confirmed that Diogo Dalot picked up an injury during the World Cup, but it is not clear whether he will be available. Axel Taunzebe is still working on to get back to fitness.
4. Head-to-head
Last time the Red Devils welcomed Burnley at Old Trafford saw the home side securing three points in the Premier League during a 3-1 thumping.
In the previous ten matches between the two teams, Manchester United have come on top with six victories, while Burnley won only once. Both teams have three draws between them.
Manchester United will look forward to continue their good record against Burney with Ten Hag desperate to bring a trophy to Old Trafford in his first season.
