Manchester United vs Manchester City fixture is scheduled for lunchtime kick-off. The Red Devils are set to continue their form following a 3-0 thumping over Charlton in the Carabao Cup tie.

The match is set to take place at Old Trafford on or about 13:30 (UK time). The game will be broadcasted on Super Sport and starting line-ups will be provided one hour before kick-off.

3. Early team news

Ten Hag confirmed that Wout Weghorst will not be available for the upcoming derby following his move to the Red Devils. Manchester United media house quoted the boss:

“Weghorst wasn’t available in the last weeks and it could be a bonus if he was. Hopefully, he will soon be there and also we are winning a lot of games without Anthony Martial.”

Sky Sports noted that Weghorst made a sensational move to Manchester United after Burnley and Besiktas agreed a loan deal with United hierarchy. Wout will likely make his debute at Selhurst Park.

According to Manchester Evening News, Diogo Dalot will not feature in the derby, whereas Anthony Martial is a doubt. Dalot picked up a slight injury during the match against Charlton.

Ten Hag said: “Diogo Dalot is not available and Anthony Martial trained this morning, so we have to wait how he recovered from his training and that will be decided tomorrow.”

“It is a small thing in his leg so it will be better tomorrow or he will be available for Wednesday.”

The boss further confirmed that Donny Van de Beek will be out for the remainder of the season following his horrific injury in the Carabao Cup clash.

The Dutch midfielder successfully went through a knee surgery during the course of the week. His teammates wished him a speedy recovery across social media.

The last time the two sides faced each other, the Cityzens humbled Ten Hag’s side 6-3 at the Etihad Stadium, as previously reported by United Radar.

In the last four meetings, City won three times. On the other hand, Manchester United won only once during the era of Ole Gunner Solskjær.

Manchester United will be looking forward to bounce back from their recent misery at the Etihad Stadium.

A win for the Red Devils will put them in a good position to potentially challenge for the Premier League title.
