Glazers

Manchester United has fallen from grace since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. The Glazers family are said to be responsible for the failures of the club. As a result, we look into whether a Premier League trophy could see the fans forgive the Glazers family.

The Glazers family

According to The Guardian, the American family acquired ownership of the Red Devils through debts arising up to £525 million. Subsequently, the owners have used the clubs money to repay debts.

The fans have been protesting demanding the owners to step down. This has escalated further and it is unlikely that the fan base will forgive the Glazers.

Manchester United last won the Premier League during the days of Sir Alex Ferguson almost ten years ago. In the event that the Red Devils win the Premier League title, this could see an ease amongst the supporters.

It is no doubt that the goal of Manchester United is winning the Premier League. That has been the standard of the football club for many years.

Manchester United - Glazers

Ownership will not matter to the supporters if the standards of the club are met. In recent weeks, Sir Jim Ratcliff showed interest to acquire ownership of United.

According to Manchester Evening News, Ratcliff maintained that the Glazers are not willing to sell Manchester United during the course of the week.

The Englishman said: “Manchester United is owned by the Glazers family, whom I have met. They don’t want to sell it. It’s owned by the six children of the father and they don’t want to sell it”.

The club had a mixed start to the season but managed a good run of wins. The Red Devils are set to go head-to-head with Omonia tonight in the UEFA Europa League encounter. Accordingly, Erik ten Hag will look forward to maintain form.
