Manchester United boss – Erik ten Hag provided team news for the upcoming fixture against Arsenal shortly after securing three points at King Power Stadium.

The Red Devils sealed a 1-0 victory against Leicester City, courtesy to a brace by Jadon Sancho. The English giants will face Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Availability of Antony Santos

Speaking in the post-match interview, ten Hag provided an update on the availability of Antony against Arsenal. According to ManUtd.com, ten Hag stated:

“Today (Thursday), he [Antony] did his first training, so [an] individual [session].

“Tomorrow (Friday), we have a team session and on Saturday we have a team session, so I will think about it and then we will take a decision”.

Injury update

The boss provided injury update of Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Anthony Martial. The latter missed the opening fixture at Old Trafford, including the trip to the south coast.

The Dutchman said: “It’s difficult to say when I talk about Luke Shaw and Aaron, but Anthony Martial will not be involved on Sunday”.

Arsenal fixture

Arsenal had a positive start to the campaign. The Gunners won all five of their opening matches. United boss is weary of the threat posed by Mikel Arteta’s army.

The boss added: “I have seen Arsenal, a tough opponent, they have started really well as we all know in the season, and you can see there is a team who are [a] long [time] together, with a coach who brings his philosophy in the team.

“So, this is a good test and I’m really looking forward [to it]. We will pick the right XI to start but as you see, it’s not only a team, we have a squad and also, today (Thursday), the subs who came on did really well so I’m happy with that.

“That is what we have to construct further”.

Manchester United will turn attention to a mouthwatering fixture against Arsenal. It will be interesting to see whether Antony will make his debute in a red shirt.
