WHATS THE TEAMS NEWS?

Anthony Martial will once again miss a match within three games of the season. The boss confirmed that the Frenchman is left out with an issue of Achilles.

The veteran striker missed the first two fixtures with a hamstring injury. In his absence, United lost both fixtures against Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford respectively. The 26-year-old came back in the Liverpool match and helped the team to seal a 2-1 victory against Jurgen Kloop’s team.

Manchester United has no further injuries apart from Martial. Cristiano Ronaldo could start upfront after Erik ten Hag excluded him in the starting line-up against Liverpool.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Red Devils has a good record against the Saints. In the last three meetings, both sides drew 1-1 twice, including a 9-0 thumping at Old Trafford which matched Manchester United’s highest goal tally in a match.
